Description
This is a Carl Hansen & Son CH23 Chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1950. The chair was manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s. The design features a solid oiled-Oak frame, and has a woven paper cord seat. The frame is branded with the designer and manufacturer names.
This chair measures 19.8 inches long, 19.8 inches wide, and 30.9 inches high. The seat height is 17.5 inches. The oak frame has patinated beautifully, amplifying the inherent grain of the wood. There are some scratches and nicks to the frame, especially at the bottom of legs. The paper cord seat looks great, but there are a few small water spots. Overall, this piece is in good condition with light wear apparent. Please see photos.
